The Cocoon Cottage — Tushita Ban Resort, Kaziranga
The Cocoon Cottage at Tushita Ban, lit and glowing at the end of a bamboo boardwalk through the grasslands at night

New at Tushita Ban · Now Open

A cocoon of bamboo,
woven for six.

Our newest cottage rises from the elephant grass like a hand-thatched ark — three double beds, a private loft, and a marble bath, minutes from Kaziranga’s wild edge.

The Cottage

Built like the land builds — curved, close, and quiet.

Split across two levels of warm teak and split bamboo, the cottage holds its own barrel-vaulted sky of thatch.

Downstairs, two dressed beds sit beneath the curve of the roof, a full-length mirror catching the lantern light. Climb the open staircase and the loft opens into a third bed tucked beneath the eaves — a quiet perch above the grass, reached by its own short flight of teak steps.

Every surface here was chosen to hold heat and light gently: hand-loomed curtains, a writing desk under warm sconces, and a ceiling fan turning slow circles through the thatch above.
